Max W. McFadden Ph.D. (University of Alberta). Has 23 years experience as a research manager for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service when he planned and/or managed and provided leadership to six major integrated, interdisciplinary programs of research. He was Assistant Director at the Northeastern Forest Research Station from 1991 until 1998. He has worked in Mexico, Greece, SE Asia and the Pacific, China and Russia and Eastern Europe. McFadden is Chief Executive Officer of The Heron Group, LLC.

J. Kathy Parker, Ph.D. (Yale University). Has over 25 years of work experience in 34 countries of Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Eastern Europe and the New Independent States of the Former Soviet Union and in the U.S. Has extensive experience in social ecology, policy analysis, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, research, education and training, information technology for collaborative efforts, and facilitating meetings. Parker is President Emeritus of The Heron Group, LLC.
